Long Time No Update

I guess one of my New Years resolutions will be to get my butt in gear blogging more often.

The holidays were crazy. I spent every spare second getting ready, and I was still a hot mess on the actual holiday days. Any blog I would have attempted to publish from 12/15 to yesterday would have looked something like this: SDKjkhDJIdikjhd--Because that's what my brain felt like. As a child of divorced parents, I have a lot of family, and I love each and every one of them to pieces, but this does mean I have TONS of stops to make when the holidays roll around.

Lots of family also means Maddie gets SPOILED! I could probably open a children's' museum in my house with all the toys she received. She also now has enough clothes to wear a new, highly fashionable (in the toddler world) outfit every day for probably the rest of her life. Yesterday I got her all dressed up in one of her adorable little dresses and oohed and ahhed over her cuteness for so long that I ended up running late. I threw some jeans and a sweatshirt on myself and we ran to Macy's to pick up a few things. We ended up in the elevator with a sparkly, fancy looking elderly woman who looked at Maddie, glanced up at me, smiled, and asked "how do you like being a nanny?"

So, I guess I need to either start dressing Maddie down, or start dressing myself up, because pretty soon I'm going to end up with strange rich ladies slipping me their phone numbers.

And, in other news, Maddie is now WALKING. And she's doing it like a champ. You never would guess that she ever had a delay. I couldn't be more proud of her. We're still working on the whole eating thing, but now that she's walking it feels like at least half of the huge worry burden has been lifted from my shoulders.

I can't wait to see what the new year will bring, and I promise to start giving more regular updates, and to continue with Coupon Sunday starting tomorrow. I hope everyone who reads this had an amazing holiday season!
